17th Feb 2023

It was "a simple celebration, a gathering of friends; wishing [him] great happiness and a joy that never ends." How best to describe the brief ceremony held on Monday February 13, 2023 at the IT Laboratory by the Faculty and Staff of the School of Engineering & Technology in honour of Mr. Daniel Obuobi the immediate past Head of the Information Technology and Computer Science Department.

In addition to a special citation presented to the celebrant, faculty members and officers present took turns to individually express their appreciation to Mr. Obuobi for his significant contribution in establishing and developing the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, and the School as a whole.

Reminiscing on his time at the department, Mr. Daniel Obuobi thanked his colleagues for the honor done him and encouraged them to keep pushing the frontiers and working together to build a formidable department and school.

Prof. Stephen Abenney-Mickson, Dean of School of Engineering and Technology, Dr. Nana Baah Gyan; Head of Department of Information Technology and Computer Science, Professor Moses Mensah and Rev. Gustave Amuzu, the Ag. Director of ICT Directorate, among other senior members were present at the send-off event moderated by Mr. James Anani Amezi.
