CU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION WEBINAR SERIES
There is a lot changing in our world now with the pandemic currently being experienced in various countries. The world has been thrust into what is generally described as “the new normal” – an unprecedented change in the way things are done at all levels.
During this period, jobs have been lost, careers have been distorted and businesses have collapsed at proportions never imagined. Governments are still reeling under the challenges and how to revive their economies with and maybe when. Notwithstanding, new opportunities have been created with new careers, new tools and businesses.
CU Alumni Association deems it appropriate to organise webinar sessions for members with the aim of providing information necessary for sustaining members’ jobs, business and life during and after these challenging times of uncertainties. The series are dubbed “New Normal Series”.
Nature: Webinar sessions will be organised with a moderator and 3-5 panel members. The sessions will be advertised to members but open to the public. Panellists will present on the topic for 5 mins. Moderator will ask questions afterwards. Members can also send through their questions for panellists to address.
Topic 1: My new job; my new business:
Discussion of jobs that have and will change forever; new job openings; new business opportunities; How to position yourself for a job or business
Topic 2: Unlearning and Learning:
New things to learn for the new normal – tools and techniques including technology, skills etc.
Period: At least 2 sessions planned for 2020
Medium of delivery: Free webinar tools will be utilised, Facebook/ Instagram live will also be utilised. The sessions will be recorded and later shared.
